KYOTO STAR BAR is an authentic cocktail bar in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto — the Kyoto counterpart to STAR BAR GINZA, carrying on the craft of Hisashi Kishi, honored as a Contemporary Master Craftsman. Classic cocktails — the Martini, the Gimlet — are made one at a time, alongside originals built on Uji matcha and Mizuo yuzu. Whiskies range from Yamazaki, Hakushu and Taketsuru to Scotch and beyond. For those not drinking, specialty coffee, Uji matcha and, in summer, kakigori. Until 19:00: café bar, no cover charge. From 19:00 to 01:00: full bar, seat charge ¥2,200 — for the seat only, no snack included, and no otōshi. A cocktail and whisky bar in Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto.
