In 1974 Stephanie her Mother and Sisters moved to Wayne Pennsylvania. While attending Radnor High School she continued with her painting and drawing studies. At this time She was also introduced to other art forms. Stephanie went on to study Photography & Painting and at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia PA. While attending Moore she also took courses in jewelry pottery printmaking and loom weaving. Graduating in 1982 with a BFA in Photography Stephanie worked in the Philadelphia area for many years in public relations photography. Although the bulk of her work was in Philadelphia she photographed local horse shows terrier trials and hound shows along with private events. During this time Stephanie was able to continue working with horses and riding. Although painting is a passion for Stephanie making a living in painting and photography is not always fruitful. Stephanie apprenticed with a Master Saddler learning the art of tack making and repair. As a Saddler Stephanie had a successful business for over 21 years until issues with her neck prevented her continuing the Saddler career. Due to 9 to 5 jobs and her work with saddlery and horses she was not able to pursue painting with vigor again until 2009. She returned from a painting workshop in Sedona Arizona with a prominent Plein Air artist to be laid off from her civil design position. Since then Stephanie has been able to devote more time to her Painting Photography and her other artistic endeavors such as making Horse Hair Jewelry and Semi-Precious Stone Jewelry. Stephanie’s photograph White Trees was selected out of 800 entries to be one of the 53 finalists for a juried show at the Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis. Stephanie’s paintings and photographs have been on display in several local restaurants and at horse shows resulting in sales and commissions of her work. She has had and continues to do commissions for equine portraits and landscapes in Oil Pastel and Graphite.
